The various pranayama practices (breathing exercices) we do in class are a great way to prevent colds, flus, allergies, by keeping the respiratory system clean and strong, flushing mucus out of sinus and lungs, balancing nervous system and both hemispheres of the brain. Pranayama increases vital energy and willpower, and it induces peace and calmness, and the feeling of being very clear and awake. Take a moment with your eyes closed after the practice of pranayama to observe which effect it has on you.
