I bring it all to the mat; joy and pain, for yoga is a place I can celebrate and mourn. For me, yoga is a way of life. Practice on the mat teaches me ways of living off the mat. A yoga practice is like a ritual or a ceremony for me; time and space where I can take refuge, find solace and offer my efforts.
My wish for those in class is to have a heartfelt experience where they can use the asana but also see meaning and depth beyond the asana. My intent is for the innate wisdom and potency of yoga to wash over the hearts, minds and bodies of those participating.
