Exploring yoga as an intimate conversation with the nervous system. Workshop will empower individuals to discover this subtle language of listening through breath, massage, movement, sound & stillness. In our goal oriented culture which perpetually celebrates busy-ness, this workshop is a celebration of ‘rest’ & ‘being-ness’ as a resource for our creativity, resiliency, passion & zest for this lifetime.
Pillars of Practice
Saturday Feb 23rd – 2:30 – 5 pm
An afternoon focussed on the integration of dynamic movement & rest, this session will offer tools for deepening into the heart of Yoga. Opening to the ‘Pillars of Practice,’ as a relevant framework for a yogi, we will flow seamlessly between meditation, pranayama, asana, rest & some yoga sutra dialogue. Session will include an intermediate hand balance flow with variations for all bodies and opportunities to explore playful transitions for those who are interested. Afternoon practice will finish with backbends & a closing seated (think happy hips & lower back) sequence & a sound meditation.
