Solstice Gāyatrī Fire Ceremony

With Satya Amrita Kumari Jehman

Join us for a sacred gathering to celebrate the Summer Solstice (Friday) and International Day of Yoga (Saturday) — a powerful time to align with the light, both within and around us.

We will gather around the sacred fire for a Gāyatrī Fire Ceremony, honouring the yogic deity known as Goddess Gāyatrī — the radiant power behind the sun, Mother of the yogic scriptures known as the Vedas, and embodiment of Divine Wisdom. She is the force that dispels fear, awakens clarity, and strengthens our connection to truth, devotion, and inner strength.

Together we will chant the Gāyatrī Mantra 108 times — one of the most ancient and sacred mantras in the yogic tradition. This luminous prayer clears the mind, opens the heart, and illuminates our inner vision. It helps us make discerning, heart-led choices that align with love, unity, and soul purpose.

The Gāyatrī Mantra also harmonizes the nervous system, calms the mind, improves breath and focus, and supports overall well-being.

We meditate on that wondrous spirit of the Divine Solar Light which shines in every dimension of life.

May that Light inspire and guide our inner vision.

~ABOUT SATYA AMRITA KUMARI JEHMAN

Born and raised in Squamish, BC, Satya is delighted to return to her hometown to offer ceremony for the first time. Birthed into the Vedic/Yogic lineage, she has been living the traditional path of yoga all her life – with a more concentrated practice over the last 23 years.

Satya carries the gift of fire ceremony and ritual by the grace of her ancestors from North India. She completed a year-long Yoga Apprenticeship in 2015 (Vijnana Yoga RYT200), and a deep dive study into jnana yoga (Vedic scripture study/self inquiry) with her teacher in her ancestral homeland of India amid a trio of winters from 2011-2013.

While there in 2016, Satya was initiated into the Sidh Kunjika Stotram – the highest call to Maha Shakti (Divine Mother). She apprenticed in fire ceremony with two of her teachers in North India. She has been furthering her yogic studies in India with regular trips there for the past 16 years.

Satya has also completed a leadership training with a focus on Trauma-informed Leadership, Transformational Leadership, and Coaching.

Encouraged by her teachers, Satya is a facilitator of Retreats, Workshops, Ceremony, Ritual, One-on-One Guide on Salt Spring Island and surrounding communities, in India – as well as online. She offers from the deepest place in her with utmost respect and reverence to her ancestors, to You, to the Divine, and to the Self.
