A practice for those desiring to go back to the roots of yoga.
In this 2-hour workshop, Mandakini will guide a traditional Himalayan Hatha Yoga and Pranayam practice rooted in the living teachings of the ashram.
The session will include a carefully structured series of asanas, approached in a therapeutic and accessible way, along with pranayama and selected subtle movements to awaken energy, release stagnation, and prepare the body and mind for deeper practice.
The session will close with chanting of mantras, offering space to integrate the practice through sound, devotion, and inner stillness.

Mandakini Puri Rox was born and raised at Sri Santosh Puri Ashram on the banks of Ma Ganga, where she continues to live and serve today. Rooted in the traditional sanyasi lineage of her parents and gurus, Santosh Puri Maharaj and Narvada Puri Mataji, she was immersed from childhood in a life of Karma Yoga, devotion, service, and spiritual practice. Her mother, Narvada Puri Mataji, has been her main Yoga teacher, and this direct transmission has remained the deepest foundation of her path.
A dedicated practitioner and natural teacher from a young age, Mandakini began leading study groups and teaching yoga while still in her teens. She later became a Yoga Acharya and holds Master’s degrees in Yogic Science & Human Excellence. She has also studied yantra painting, bringing together practical wisdom, creativity, and traditional yogic knowledge.
For over 20 years, Mandakini has been teaching and managing programs at YogAnga Retreat, where she shares hatha yoga, pranayama, Ayurvedic cooking, yantra painting, homa fire practices, and kirtan. Her teaching is deeply grounded in the living tradition of the ashram and in a lifelong spirit of service, simplicity, and devotion.
In 2013, Mandakini was blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Rudraksh. She finds grounding in motherhood and in cultivating the qualities of care, compassion, and self-sacrifice, which continue to deepen her spiritual life and service.
A third-generation yogi, she teaches locally and leads international retreats, as well as 200hr and 300hr Yoga Teacher Trainings around the world.
She is the author of Within the Divine Realm, a collection of mythical stories and sacred mantras devoted to the gods and goddesses of yoga. Crystal is also the creator of the Sacred Realms Oracle Deck, designed to inspire teachers in their offerings and support students in embodying the teachings.
Her work bridges mythology, mantra, and embodied practice, guiding teachers to sequence from the heart and lead from devotion.
Crystal is passionate about helping others cultivate a living relationship with nature through the lens of yoga, where practice becomes prayer and teaching becomes transmission.
